  • Turn to Professional Mode

  • Flash Off - flash gives very unappealing shadows and creates flat images

  • File format - DNG or RAW - for editing flexibility

  • Turn on Grid - helpful when composing (eye icon. Available after tapping the three vertical dots on the right)

  • Turn on Level - tells you when your shot is level

  • Choose the correct aspect ratio

  • Turn on ‘Save original to device’ - in the setting icon

  • Triangle - clipped highlights - not enough data - paid version

  • Focus Peaking - manual Focus - adjust the focus manually and check for green highlights. The green highlights tell you what part of your image is in focus.

  • Plan composition beforehand

  • Exposure correction in the post-production process
