Welcome to the Lifestyle Family Photography Guide
Thank you for considering a photography session with me. I capture special moments of love and connection between families and create beautiful images that are cherished for a lifetime. Every family I work with is different but the one common thread I see in every session is emotional connection.
A big learning has been to slowly coax and then get out of the way so that I can successfully anticipate moments of authentic connection.
My hope is that this guide will help you better understand what to expect during a family photography session with me.
About Me
Hello, Im Charu! A wife, mum to a 17 year old young girl and lucky to be a friend to some beautiful souls. While my heart will forever belong to Singapore, I feel like parts of it also belong to Mumbai and Vietnam. I love breezy walks, quiet spaces and being able to laugh my head off in the company of my special people.
While I’ve had a formal background in design, photography was what I chose to do after the birth of my daughter. My silver lining with this last move to Ho Chi Minh City during Covid, was that it brought sketching back in to my life.
I continue to explore the city with long walks and photograph the people that currently call it home.
Photography Style
It took me a while to understand that perfection does not exist. What does however exist are all our imperfectly perfect life stories, and these are what I strive to capture. The ten plus years I’ve spent behind the camera have taught me to instinctively look out for these in-between moments and connections. I feel inspired by shy eyes, tousled hair, giggles and kisses, I live for these but also how people look in the light that warmly embraces us all.
About the Sessions
During every session I’ll walk you through what I'm shooting, so you can see what’s being captured. Post session, you’ll receive a link to a password protected page that will have numbered, straight off the camera, thumbnails from your shoot. I like you to have control of choosing your final photographs (I’m always there to offer suggestions, if you feel you need them). Your final selections then get edited and cleaned before they are delivered digitally to you.
Why me?
It's important to find a photographer whose work resonates with you and who you feel can capture your family in the way you imagine. If you connect with and trust my style, we can capture some timeless memories. While I hope very much to be your family photographer, I may not always be the perfect fit for everyone.
My most recent sessions live on the blog. Once you’ve had a chance to browse through those, I’d love to schedule in a date and capture your special slice of magic.

Session Cost
All Sessions Include:

An initial consultation. This could be over a phone/video call or if you are in the area then there are some brilliant cafes, and I'd love to meet you and chat over a cuppa.

A temporary password protected gallery that will have all the as shot or unedited thumbnails from your session. The purpose of this gallery is to help you see what we have captured so that you can make your final selections.
*This gallery will no longer be available once the final images have been delivered. -
Your final selections from this temporary gallery will be put through the post production process where adjustments like

Your professionally edited images will be delivered via an online link. These include high resolution (print ready) and a copy as web resolution, of the files you chose earlier.
The Mini Session

What if I want all the images from my session?

The total number of images captured per session are always variable, hence the cost for all the edited images per session is also variable.

Here's a ball park idea, the mini sessions could have approximately 20 to 40 odd pictures and the cost could range from 250 to 500 USD

The full session could have approximately 30 to 60 odd pictures and the cost could range from 375 to 750 USD
When you choose to get all the images from your session, it automatically includes the following:

Custom slide show of images from your session with music

A beautiful canvas print 23 inches x 33 inches
Please note that none of the sessions include any RAW files.
